Draft a good-not-great one and he’s really only valuable for this first contract. After that you are bidding against a league of incompetent and desperate GMs who will overpay a borderline allstar like he’s a superstar. The only way to win that game is to not play it. Go back to the draft and try to get lucky. Other than that you will be mired in 6-9 wins every season which is good enough to not be the worst team in the league but you’re not really making progress towards the ultimate goal of winning super bowls. Dak is not that good. Pay him Rodgers money and you’re stuck in mud for half a decade.
